Is anyone else discovering the magic ingredient that is spirulina?! We love it so much that we might even make a Kokada Spirulina (just kidding... unless you want it to be serious?)!
Research on spirulina shows that the high-antioxidant, blue-green algae may also have pain-relief, anti-inflammatory, and brain-protective properties! WOW! Our favorite thing about spirulina is its electric blue hue, making it the perfect, fun snack for our kids, nieces, and nephews too!
Our Spirulina Mermaid Bowl (wonderfully named by our niece, of course) is packed with Vitamin C, potassium, and Vitamin B. This coconutty, tropical, refined sugar free snack is the perfect fun and healthy treat for the whole family!
· 2 frozen bananas
· 1/2 c frozen mango
· 3/4 c – 1 cup almond milk (any non-dairy milk)
· 2 tbsp coconut cream
· 2 tbsp Kokada Classic
· 1 tsp blue spirulina
· 1/2 tsp vanilla
· Optional: 1 tbsp almond, cashew, or mac nut butter for some healthy fats
· Shredded coconut
1. Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Enjoy with blueberries, coconut, and granola!
